I had to reset the game files because my game was modified by the mods i donwloaded. Im not sure if itll work for you but reinstalling the game for me made it work, so I guess theres no harm in trying. From there, you can select a mod or number of mods to add to your download from the list below. What I did was reinstalled the game then installed modapi and then it worked for me then. It will automatically select the base package to install. To start with, you select The Forest from the list of mods at at ModAPI.
